Fitter Special Forces

You know, it doesn’t matter what industry you are in, they are all filled with people. It is the nature of the beast that some of those people are just more talented, motivated, a natural, whatever it is but there is a certain percentage that is just all around better. Sherman is not one of those, just kidding bro!

You have probably heard the 80/20 rule. 20% of your people will typically do 80% of your work. This is not true in our industry but there are still ones who for some reason are just badass! If there was just a certification for that! It has been said that we have about 15% of the membership are top performers, there are some who we drag along with us, and the rest are all solid contributors so that blows out the 80/20 rule but the thought process is similar.

According to Michael Freeland, North Mechanical has a Special Projects Division that they put on some of the projects that are in between service calls and contract jobs. Kind of like Fitter Special Forces.

Check out this episode and get a little info on that, where Michael started out, and then if you stick around to the end we get into a little of Eddie’s experiences. Throughout the episode though, we are not bashful when it comes to pickin’ on each other!
